I'm bored. This is dangerous. My TV shows are either gone for good or gone until September, and I'm running out of Mythbusters to watch. I'm almost desperate enough to give BSG a try, because hey, it can't be the mental abortion that was Bab5.

What other TV shows do I need to watch?

Things on the 'been there done that' list:
Carnivale
Rome
Deadwood
L&O: SVU
Oz
DS9 and all other Trek worth watching
Farscape
B5 (blech)
Eleventh Hour
CSI
CSI: Miami
TSCC
ER
Stargate
Bones
24
Castle
Firefly/Serenity
Drive
Every other show Fillion's ever been in.
Moonlight
South Park
True Blood
Little House on the Prairie
Buffy
Angel
Jericho

Note: I loathe reality tv and stupid lowbrow humour like The Office. There has to be something else out there to watch... right?

"NCIS" is one of those shows that is reaaaalyy good, but gets snubbed by Hollywood - which makes it even more worthy to watch.

My daughter LOVES "House" - but I won't watch medical shows.

Cable - OMG - I LOVE "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe. Hot guy getting dirty? Oh yeah.

I know you don't care for reality shows, but give "Deadlist Catch" a chance. I've been watching it for a few years and it really makes you appreciate it next time you have crab for dinner.

"Whale Wars" is newer, it's in it's second season - I can't believe some of the stupid stuff they end up doing, which makes it kinda fun - like watching a train wreck.

Anthony Bourdain is FABULOUS in "No Reservations" on the Travel Channel.

Have you watched the "Ghost Hunters" shows? they're pretty cool. Don't much care for the International ones.

I recommend Friends, unless sitcoms aren't your cup of tea.

Psych is awesome good fun. The West Wing I've seen all of, and Battlestar galactica (I don't remember if you've seen that).

And forever knight!

Wonderfalls is like Firefly, in that it ended too soon.

Freaks and Geeks.

Dead Like Me.

Pushing Daisies.

You could try Primeval, which is about very, very stupid but pretty people who are constantly under attack by dinosaurs.

Just don't watch past season 2. Then it all goes to hell.

Leverage. Smart writing, amazing camera work. I second Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies. If you like Bruce Campbell, Burn Notice (he's a support character).

I loathe reality TV. Yet somehow, I can't stop watching Project Runway.

I second the votes for: House, Psych, Dirty Jobs (they dismantle one of our barges!!), Freaks and Geeks, Dead Like Me, and Project Runway.

I'll also add: Royal Pains (new), Weeds, Jeremiah(sp?), EUREKA!, Mork and Mindy, Cosmos, Onmyogi (1 and 2), and anything with Vin Diesel-Jason Statham-Jet Li-Val Kilmer in it. Start with Hero, then Curse of the Golden Flower, War, Seven Samurai, and Forbidden Kingdom (just for the drunken monkey stuff). And if you can find The Bride with White Hair, please let me know. I can't find it.
