spookyeviloneI've been debating getting an Ipod Touch for awhile. Mostly, it's the shiny toy factor. I've managed to talk myself out of spending so much on an upgraded mp3 player with bells and whistles I likely won't use.
I caved today and bought the retarded bastard brother of the Ipod Touch today. I'm going to be in a car for a looooong time next weekend. I want to see if I like touchscreen. I may hate it. I also want to experiment what it's like reading ebooks on a screen that small. All hail Baen Free Library and Project Gutenberg - there are tons of books I can dl in .rtf or .txt format. With Mini SD cards being dirt cheap, this should contain enough entertainment to keep me from killing my car mates. I don't know if I can turn it landscape - I suspect not, which will be annoying, but meh. We'll see. Since my Ipod Shuffle disappeared into the ether (probably stolen at work), I needed a new mp3 player that wasn't my phone anyway.
We'll see. Now I just need to get a car-to-usb charger. And a life.
