Manda saw quail. Manda wanted quail. We went to see quail and retrieve some for Manda.

I came home with four more - one Coturnix, 3 buttons. I apparently can't count - I meant to bring home only two buttons. Oops.

Total quail count:
9 Coturnix
7 Buttons

You realize what this means, right? Odd numbers. I need two more quail. I'm trying hard to talk myself out of getting the male I saw at the pet store.

.. and then I got bored. Crazy Quail Lady website. Placeholder for now. It is That Guy's fault. Yes. His fault entirely.

LOL! They had quail at the fair yesterday; I understand your attraction to them. They're beautiful birds. I doubt there's much market here in Tallahassee for the eggs, tho :)

You'd be surprised. The health food co-op near me offered to buy them at roughly $1/egg. They're an Asian and Somali delicacy and there have literally been slap fights over the last carton of quail eggs there.
