"This is what $160 worth of yarn looks like."
"That is a FUCKLOAD of yarn!"
"Not..really.."
This is what happens when you ask a fiber geek to pick out 'cool' yarns. I didn't even go near the mohair/camel/alpaca/cashmeres! (Ok, I went near them. I picked them up and rubbed them all over my face and cuddled them and growled when the shop lady came to ask if I needed help but I PUT THEM BACK and didn't buy them..) I stuck with basic merinos, merino + synth, bamboo, and microfibre. I don't know if the person the yarn is for will think they are cool, but *I* think they are cool and could happily geek out over them for quite some time.
Sadly, it's not yarn for me. I'm not allowed to buy yarn unless I have a project that I intend to start immediately. Otherwise, I wind up with totes full of yarn and can't remember why I bought it.
